Alternative Jacket Pump Design
You can build your own Jacket Pump (JP) like in the diagram above.
How it Works in the SHE:
1. An heat exchanger liquid or gas is pumped around the pipe that contains the vapor that is exiting the Turbine.
2. The temperature of that vapor will drop and cause it's pressure to also drop.
3. The vacuum pump collects the cooled vapor, which is almost a liquid by the time it reaches it.
4. It then compresses it so that it becomes a liquid that is then pushed back into the liquid chamber of the Burner.
5. The vapor output of the Turbine will then be at the pressure which it had when it was first evacuated through the Exhaust Valve (EXV).
You may need to be in negotiation with a turbine supplier, in order to get the information about a specific turbine inlet vapor temperature and outlet temperature:
Example:
Energy extracted Qex = m *cp * dT
m: kg
cp: kJ/kg
Turbine Inlet Temp.: T1 = 200°C
Turbine Outlet Temp.: T2 = 150°C
dT = T1- T2 = 200°C - 150°C = 50°K
Qex = 1kg * 2,2kJ/kg.K * 50°K = 110kW/s
